Pokemon Universe Community Tournament

Well, as planned, there was this tournament going on since Saturday, and unlike all expectations, I found myself enrolled into the tournament, and won a blazing 6-0 on the first round. Viper (or Jarodel) won his first match with 6-4, a close one and Gammal, my other teammate won on 6-3 (I think) giving us a perfect score of 3-0. Anyway, we moved onto the next round and it was getting late for me, so I went to bed, but today when I wake up, I learned that our team lost to another team; Gammal lost 2 matches out of 3 and was automatically disqualified... I'm sort of disappointed that I wasn't able to be there at that time to have a match, especially since I've been working on my teams quite a lot, trying to make up some synergy... Probably another time then.

On another note, the ACCA exams are coming and I finally decided to take the computer based one. I can pay for the exams in November and then take part in it in December to get my first level qualification. On the 3rd, I'll probably be in another hotel for auditing; this time, Long Beach Hotel, for Sun Resorts again. This'll be quite far and I know I'll have to wake up early, but hey, I hear it's one of the best hotels around. So, I'm looking forward to it. I just hope that there'll be some transport so I don't have to take so many buses. I completed my Annual plan for the company (quite some work, and a lot of importance is put into that...) and am awaiting for 2 ERs from an Assistant Manager, one having the deadline already passed... I wonder what will happen...

Anyway, driving tutoring is going okay-ish, knowing that the tutor has quite of a difficult temperament and am on my 16th lesson. Been driving okay on the roads and the rear gear seems to be good. The last thing this remains is the parking part of the test. It doesn't seem too hard, but hey, better not shout out victory before getting the pass in the test.

Scripting is slow but surely coming. I just finished a level up script and started to work on the stats-up part, together with how items work and I started with the unleashes of weapons. There is something else too that I changed to make it work better in the Psynergy script, which I'll have to duplicate in the Djinn script. Well, it won't be ready that soon =P.

On a final note, I started playing touhoumon a little; a hacked version of Pokemon FireRed with touhous replacing the pokemon. The typing and stats are a little weird, but it's okay. I just got my 5th badge the previous day and my bonekas (touhous) are low-average level for that part of the game. Bah, it doesn't matter, I can still go on strongly!

Second Thought about AMHD

Okay, yesterday some of the rules of the site were changed and we apparently are no more allowed to put in personnal feelings in our posts. Many of my friends are considering leaving the forum, so, I too will probably leave. I'll just be standing a little aback, watching how things will eventually turn out to be. I'm sad that the owners of AMHD are putting such things up. My hope right now is that the forum will not lose its members and become deserted.

Otherwise, I'm still at Grays Inc, got a new laptop because of the problems I was having with the previous one. This one has its problem too: it doesn't load the desktop sometimes when I turn it on. But overall, I think it's better than the previous one I had. I also got some new apps installed on my PC too and I'm planning to get some more stuff for Golden Sun script up for this week.

As for driving, I took my appointment for the 14th of November and I don't know if it'll be a first try-first pass or not. So many people fail the first time because of those mean policemen who only think about making money out of people. Oh well, we'll see how it goes.

On the gaming side, I played Ninja Gaiden (yes, I know it's a bit late) and finished the normal mode in about 5 hours. I'm now in the 'Head Ninja' mode and I'm in the Frost Area. It's a lot harder (that's a good thing) and  I'm waiting to get the last few useful items to get those hard levels. It's short though and the extras are somehow wrongly hidden. I mean, they are well hidden yes, but once one miss it, you cannot get back to get the extras, which sort of bugs me. Oh well, after that I'll be picking up Golden Sun again to get the other things I wanted to get for the script.

New Project

Okay, this time, I'm into another project. This actually started as being a project at Deep River Beau Champ, but due to the fact that it was much further than another project starting in the same week, but at Beau Plan, which is much closer, I swapped with a colleague who lived nearer to Deep River Beau Champ. So, I have been at Beau Plan, Pamplemousses since yesterday at Grays Inc. Ltd, a spirit/wine/rhum/beer//liquor, well you know, alcoholic drink producer. We'll be covering the Repairs and Maintenance process. One thing though... the name of the FC was familiar... a name I think I hear some 8 months ago on the Costa Cruise... Well, we get food there and transport, so yeah :3

Anyway, there's not much very exciting otherwise going on right now. Two of the closest Rizon servers went down recently and I'm having to fall back towards a little further servers, increasing the lag by a little... My Golden Sun Script is not moving much due to the rather high volume of work.

Driving is coming on slowly. With the balancing and startups being the worst areas. Why does the . The silly police HQ is open as of 9 am while I'm in the area at 8 -_-.

I thought my laptop was okay... but it got the same problem again. This week was definitely not a good one >.<

Back to Office

Okay, I'll be back at the office tomorrow and the testing at Swan Insurance Co. Ltd is not even complete... I don't understand why they would remove someone on a job just because of an ERP which is not even a real measure of the utilisation of an employee. And one more thing, now I will be unassigned at the office, and will be asked questions as to why I am unassigned... Either they let me stay on the job, or don't get surprised when your fellow workers are unassigned!!! I could very well stay at home otherwise, and still stay unassigned and this way, I won't get awkward questions.

Bah, on another note, PU disclosed the release date for a Beta which will be for this December, and by the looks of it, it will probably be on the 31st, as always =P. Also, the devs are using some site to keep a backlog. I'm not sure how it works, nor how beneficial it is, but it probably is if they are using one.

Still in the lines of pokemon, Pokemon Rumble seems promising and I would probably should get it sometime. With the Nintendo 3DS which appears to cost some $250 (~ 7000 MUR, and which is indeed quite cheap), that should be fun, together with Luigi's Mansion, Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 3D and last but not least, Zelda Ocarina of Time. As the Best Wishes season is out, I would probably be able to get the lyrics and add them to my collection soon ;)

Also, I just realised that I missed one last summon in my Golden Sun Dark Dawn Game... =/ Haures is apparently obtained in another 'distorted' way somewhere over the map. Oh well, I'll get it next time I reset my game to get the other experience trees I need for my bot. Otherwise, the summon and djinn procedures are ready, excluding calculations involving luck, which I don't know the exact mechanics. Next on should be psynergies and items utilisation, and after that, monster skills. When the experience is available, they should be up too and lastly, the class change and psynergy change should be done last, since that's what I see as the most complicated as it constantly changes and alters the stats and psynergies of players.

Things come and go...

Hmm... nothing much really happening right now, no new pokemon games... still in ACCA. I managed to write a little piece of script for an online ACCA question selection on IRC. Otherwise, I'm still coding the Golden Sun Script, and still learning to drive. Oh, and I got a nasty flu :(

The data collection for the Golden Sun Script is coming quite low and Coatlicue summon is fully operational now.

Concerning work, I'm now at Swan Insurance, where my team and I are working on the Claims Process, excluding Health and Travel. So we've got everything like motor, non-motor, fire and allied accidents, marine and crop claims under our 'reach'. I'll be dealing specifically with the legal procedures, where and how they are processed and which risks are involved. This will go for about 3 weeks to that I won't be idle 'work-wise', but at the same time, I would have liked to be idle, especially with those chapters in F2 to prepare and the random students being summoned in front of the class for a presentation =S. On another note, I might get to the electronics shop someday to see if they got the router... and get more details, especially since the other shop told me that I would be needing much more than a mere antennae to make it work =/.

Concerning PU, I forgot to say that I entered the Balance Testing team and got some of the true 'competitive' battles, some which I won, others which I lost. But hey, they weren't my favourite pokemon and were pokemon which were on the test-list ;)

But oh well, now the laptop is getting randomly its blacked out screen and I lose connection each time I put it on standby, which is the fastest way I found to make the screen work again each time it goes black. I hope that it'll either get repaired when I'm at the office or replaced...

ACCA Starting

Okay, I started my ACCA courses last Saturday, not that it's difficult or anything, but the lecturer already gave us 4 chapters to read for next week, this Satuday...  I have yet to read them, but I'll find some time to in the upcoming days, though there's not much left. I'm especially a little concerned about the F1 course; the lecturer is okay-ish but at the same time, I can't help having a weird feeling about him... oh well, time will tell. I've been reading up things that I need to know right now, some of which are easier to understand than others, but I'm working through it confidently.

Otherwise at work, I finally got access to EY Leads, my Global Time & Expense, Sametime and that annoying Kontiki Delivery Manager removed. I've been browsing that Independence policy online course then the Global Code of Conduct later on, yesterday. It's been so long and I was nearly falling asleep >_<

On another note, I started driving courses too and this is not going too well with this bad tempered teacher. He most often says things right after I should do them, or says something and denies having said so. What a douche...

Otherwise, the Golden Sun Script is coming slowly. I got some other parts of the scripts done and I'm now gathering information mostly about the monsters and the experience tree to get an idea of how the level up will be carried out. Also, there is a new event right now for people owning Pokemon Black/White in japanese; a shiny Golurk and a shiny Hydreigon for the first and second games respectively available until the 2nd of September I believe (needs to be confirmed) and I still don't have a router at home =/. I don't know when I'll get to get it, but I'll find sometime to.

This week... with ups and downs

Okay, this Saturday was a 'Fun Day' organised for the end of Financial Year and it really was fun.
I got the occasion to watch Pirates of the Carribean 4 last Saturday. Well, as most of the movies, I enjoyed it, especially since it was the very first 3D movie that I watched. Well, some say the movie was not that good, but I really liked it. The effects were nice indeed. The only thing is that I couldn't find Elizabeth Swann Turner (Keira Christina Knightley) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and was kind of sad since they had a child after the end of PoTC : At World's End after the generic. I guess that'll be for another time. This movie I'm sure one could watch it independent of the previous three. Though I sure will await the next one with impatience.

Sad thing later, was that the car literally got into another car's passenger door. The damage was not too serious, but still... it was at 11 pm and caused so much stress =/

On another note, I went to Villa Valriche this Saturday for a 'Fun Day', and getting everything paid by the company is not something I'd have expected at all! There was drinks served ad infinitum and various games during the day; table tennis, pool, babyfoot, Wii, 'petanque', football, beach volley and the organised treasure hunt, which our team got a bad surprise. Some previous team indeed played foul play on us, by moving one of the clues we have to get through hidden elsewhere so that we couldn't have it. Well, all the teams got to start differently and all the clues for all the teams are stacked up in the same place, except that when we finally found ours (out 4th out of 5 clues), the game was already over, our clue wasn't with the rest but all alone. The price was a free ticket to a luxurious hotel on the island...

Otherwise, I had one of those few times when your inbox is crowded with emails that Saturday and Sunday. So many notifications! >.< Among other things, I got promoted first to a helper on CHF then global moderator. And last but not least, there are new consoles on the market and new interesting games such as new Mario/Luigi games on the 3DS, then Pokedex, and a few more out there like Zelda Ocarina of Time which I'd like to have. The router... yes the router... I didn't get any news from the shopkeeper... I hope he didn't already forgot me... Maybe I should try to pay him a visit soon.
