Things come and go...

Hmm... nothing much really happening right now, no new pokemon games... still in ACCA. I managed to write a little piece of script for an online ACCA question selection on IRC. Otherwise, I'm still coding the Golden Sun Script, and still learning to drive. Oh, and I got a nasty flu :(

The data collection for the Golden Sun Script is coming quite low and Coatlicue summon is fully operational now.

Concerning work, I'm now at Swan Insurance, where my team and I are working on the Claims Process, excluding Health and Travel. So we've got everything like motor, non-motor, fire and allied accidents, marine and crop claims under our 'reach'. I'll be dealing specifically with the legal procedures, where and how they are processed and which risks are involved. This will go for about 3 weeks to that I won't be idle 'work-wise', but at the same time, I would have liked to be idle, especially with those chapters in F2 to prepare and the random students being summoned in front of the class for a presentation =S. On another note, I might get to the electronics shop someday to see if they got the router... and get more details, especially since the other shop told me that I would be needing much more than a mere antennae to make it work =/.

Concerning PU, I forgot to say that I entered the Balance Testing team and got some of the true 'competitive' battles, some which I won, others which I lost. But hey, they weren't my favourite pokemon and were pokemon which were on the test-list ;)

But oh well, now the laptop is getting randomly its blacked out screen and I lose connection each time I put it on standby, which is the fastest way I found to make the screen work again each time it goes black. I hope that it'll either get repaired when I'm at the office or replaced...

ACCA Starting

Okay, I started my ACCA courses last Saturday, not that it's difficult or anything, but the lecturer already gave us 4 chapters to read for next week, this Satuday...  I have yet to read them, but I'll find some time to in the upcoming days, though there's not much left. I'm especially a little concerned about the F1 course; the lecturer is okay-ish but at the same time, I can't help having a weird feeling about him... oh well, time will tell. I've been reading up things that I need to know right now, some of which are easier to understand than others, but I'm working through it confidently.

Otherwise at work, I finally got access to EY Leads, my Global Time & Expense, Sametime and that annoying Kontiki Delivery Manager removed. I've been browsing that Independence policy online course then the Global Code of Conduct later on, yesterday. It's been so long and I was nearly falling asleep >_<

On another note, I started driving courses too and this is not going too well with this bad tempered teacher. He most often says things right after I should do them, or says something and denies having said so. What a douche...

Otherwise, the Golden Sun Script is coming slowly. I got some other parts of the scripts done and I'm now gathering information mostly about the monsters and the experience tree to get an idea of how the level up will be carried out. Also, there is a new event right now for people owning Pokemon Black/White in japanese; a shiny Golurk and a shiny Hydreigon for the first and second games respectively available until the 2nd of September I believe (needs to be confirmed) and I still don't have a router at home =/. I don't know when I'll get to get it, but I'll find sometime to.

This week... with ups and downs

Okay, this Saturday was a 'Fun Day' organised for the end of Financial Year and it really was fun.
I got the occasion to watch Pirates of the Carribean 4 last Saturday. Well, as most of the movies, I enjoyed it, especially since it was the very first 3D movie that I watched. Well, some say the movie was not that good, but I really liked it. The effects were nice indeed. The only thing is that I couldn't find Elizabeth Swann Turner (Keira Christina Knightley) and Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and was kind of sad since they had a child after the end of PoTC : At World's End after the generic. I guess that'll be for another time. This movie I'm sure one could watch it independent of the previous three. Though I sure will await the next one with impatience.

Sad thing later, was that the car literally got into another car's passenger door. The damage was not too serious, but still... it was at 11 pm and caused so much stress =/

On another note, I went to Villa Valriche this Saturday for a 'Fun Day', and getting everything paid by the company is not something I'd have expected at all! There was drinks served ad infinitum and various games during the day; table tennis, pool, babyfoot, Wii, 'petanque', football, beach volley and the organised treasure hunt, which our team got a bad surprise. Some previous team indeed played foul play on us, by moving one of the clues we have to get through hidden elsewhere so that we couldn't have it. Well, all the teams got to start differently and all the clues for all the teams are stacked up in the same place, except that when we finally found ours (out 4th out of 5 clues), the game was already over, our clue wasn't with the rest but all alone. The price was a free ticket to a luxurious hotel on the island...

Otherwise, I had one of those few times when your inbox is crowded with emails that Saturday and Sunday. So many notifications! >.< Among other things, I got promoted first to a helper on CHF then global moderator. And last but not least, there are new consoles on the market and new interesting games such as new Mario/Luigi games on the 3DS, then Pokedex, and a few more out there like Zelda Ocarina of Time which I'd like to have. The router... yes the router... I didn't get any news from the shopkeeper... I hope he didn't already forgot me... Maybe I should try to pay him a visit soon.

Working

Okay, it's been a while since I've not been here now. This was due to work and several scripts for my IRC bot that I've taken and edited and well... re-written in some cases and so far, there's only the Golden Script and the Quotes script having some problems. Wait, youtube too is having a problem now T.T.

Other than that, some of the scripts working are pokedex (though my table of referrence is off from every pokemon coming after Magcargo alphabetically because of a typo in my original database and which I'm currently fixing), conversion of units (from metres to feet and vice versa, etc), conversion of currency, world time, world weather, 8ball and perhaps some more.

I'm also starting a nuzlocke with Pokemon VoltWhite given by Silver, I wonder how it'll work. I'm applying the basic rules;
Catch first pokemon in an area and that's the only one allowed in the area,
Faint and call the pokemon dead by releasing it.

I'm modifying a little the rules since it's VoltWhite: Faint first time in an area, and you get to try again once more through your latest save.

And last, I'm thinking about making a stalk area :O

Golden Sun Dark Dawn Completed

Okay, I completed Golden Sun Dark Dawn yesterday night by getting the last Mars Djinni which I didn't get and beating the last Guardian of summons in the game, in Crossbone Is. It wasn't an easy battle; the toughest I've have had, for I was constantly trying to revive Sveta, Karis or Matthew who themselves kept the others ready to fight. I also found the way to optimise their stats altogether and distribute the Djinn so that I could then summon Eclipse nearly every 3 turns while also summoning Judgement, Meteor and Crystallux which have the most decent damage with lowest Djinn cost, which each did 1000~2000 damage each time. With Djinn Storm, 200 HP healing after each turn and Crucible, that Guardian seemed undefeatable, but with perseverance, I finally got it!

Other than that, I got my first day at Ernst and Young and I'll be visiting my first country on the 11th of April; Yellow I think it is. Anyway, I'll get a briefing the Friday before that. The ACCA courses are starting on July and I think I'll try getting some of it as soon as possible through books and online sites. I don't know how the ACCA studies and work together will be, but I will have to do my best and get promoted at work as I should be in three year's time. Hopefully, I'll get my laptop on Tuesday, which was not yet ready last Friday :3

I've seen another shop now selling the router at R 1400 (yay!) and as such, my friend was right when telling me that Telecom has the tendency to sell things about R 1000 more costly, such a pity... Now I have to get there sometime, maybe on the 13th when I will have my Learner's Driving Oral Test, or the 11th when I go to Yellow.

Pokemon? Yes, there was an April Fool's day joke on PU last Friday and everybody who downloaded the link got a Lv 99 Magikarp knowing only Splash and the only pokemon available in the game other than that were Zubat and Mew, the latter having an encounter rate of 1/1000. Of course, I knew all about it, but can't download it due to the low specs of my computer...

Golden Sun Dark Dawn

Okay, it's been forever since I made my last blog entry >.<

In other news, as the title says it, I've finally got Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and completed it, though not having all the Djinn, namely 1 missing Mars Djinni, 2 Jupiter Djinn, 3 Venus Djinn and 4 Mercury Djinn, and some summons I forgot to take, namely the one at the Passaj dungeon and maybe more.

Other than that, I started working at Harel Mallac since the 21st of March as a trainee and replacing a certain Kavita Aubeeluck who is on maternity leave. 4 days prior to this, I had an interview for Ernst and Young, and it seems I did it well, for I was to call at the bureau on Friday 25 for the contract signing, where they gave us until Monday 28, tomorrow, to return it. It turns out that I would be better off starting ACCA directly, instead of 'losing' 3 years in a BA in Accounting. Plus in the ACCA exam, the latter site said that I can get a BSc Hons together, which I think would be better than following the offer of Ernst and Young here.

Otherwise, I got the ROM for Pokemon Black EU finally, and I'm now looking for a router, which currently appears out of sale. R 2300 they say it costs. Not that bad, and I'll get Wifi at home! ^^,)

Last, Google AdSense finally is 'official'. I got a pin number and have entered it some time ago. Oh, and I almost forgot, I've been learning some perl Programming for a bot in my IRC chan, and ended up to a Project Euler site, completing 10 problems so far, with and without programming. Still learning more about it!

Last Black Legendary

Okay, got my last Pokemon Black in-game legendary, Torunerosu, the Flying type legendary pokemon, last night. It seemed tough at start, but then I found a quick and easy way to get it ;)

Other than that, I resumed school, doing some things over again while looking for some way to get a trainee placement in a company, preparing my CV, and looking for Universities.

Today announces also the first say when Shiny Suicune is available over WiFi, which unlocks Zoroark in Black and White versions. Considering I already have a japanese version of the game and the ongoing event on Zoroark, the Shiny Suicune might not be that 'must' but it suits well in my collection =P.

Pokemon Ranger, Platinum and Explorers of Sky are for the time being 'paused' but I should resume to them soon as I completed nearly all the things to do in Black. Well, update in a few days!
